Evo-X SST FQ-330: Recently had a 3 port boost solenoid install and remap by Simon and what a result! In addition to the power delivery improvement, one of the most impressive aspects is how Simon is meticulous in conducting a full health check bofore carrying out any performance modification work! Highly Recommended and worth travelling the distance, Al, South Wales.

I took my Evo X to Simon for re-map. Not only did he make my car a lot better but he informed of a potential issue. Great service. Highly recommended.

I brought my evo x to Simon as it was over fueling and had many flat spots.

Once Simon maped the car I can finely drive the car properly after a year of troubles.

    Thank you Simon

  • Michael Van de Burgt (Saturday, May 07 22 08:21 am BST)

    Hi,
My car is March 2010 Civic type R GT and so very interested in the ECUTek ECU.
This will sound daft but, I have car that runs perfect, no codes or faults etc. and I'm concerned that installing another ECU may overtime import issues?
Would like to chat about it and benefits of having this mod/ECU, installing it etc.
Whenever you get chance, call me on 07903 875850
    Thanks for your time
    Mike.

Had my Evo 7 in with Simon for a Link ECU and mapping. The car is a fully built 2.4 stroker with all the work done in 2006, with very little use since then (8000 miles in total) so it was in need of a full health check and the old AEM ECU updating. Simon quickly identified some issues but sent lots of photo's and kept me updated all the time, picked the car up with the work done and a full fast road geo set up and its awesome! Really friendly and courteous service from start to finish, can highly recommend NTS for any work on Evo's. Cheers Simon, Andy.

Brilliant service very very helpful they kept me informed every step of the process during the engine build and gave me the advice on oil changes and other service to keep it healthy
I would highly recommend Simon my car over 4years ownership and for the future will only visit this shop

I have just got my car back from Norton Tuning Solutions. Simon is a genius! What he has done with my car, is incredible. I have spent a fortune on having work done on my car, and several maps, by 'big name' specialists. And they had ruined my car. It is not only smooth to drive normally now, it f***ing flies when you put your foot down. I will never take my car anywhere else again! And the pops and bangs are perfect. I asked him to do them a particular way, and they are spot on. I cannot recommend Norton Tuning Solutions highly enough!

so.... after looking at prices to tune my 2008 slightly modded civic type R via ecutek simon popped up and blew the competitions proces out the water with his quote....

cars had x4 switchable maps... all features unlocked... and its one amazing job.

even the aftercare was 2nd to none when i had to learn to drive the car again due to bad habbits (resting foot on clutch) and map telling me to get a grip.

simon is on top lad.... done an outstanding job on my civic mapping wise hes totally transformed my car from what it was... discussed me through every question i had "in simple terms"

AND I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE with a shadow of a doubt.

    BIG THANKYOU

  • Frankie Jamedon (Friday, November 20 15 12:08 pm GMT)

Very very in the know guy is Si, he has fitted numerous performance upgades to my Evo 8 along with a full re-map and without a showdow of doubt has well and truely changed my Evo into what i would
    call something special.

Will be getting more parts bought and fitted by him very soon.

    Highly recomended
    Thanks ?

  • Dan Seaman (Thursday, November 19 15 06:53 pm GMT)

Just a quick thanks to Simon and a big thumbs up to his work.

Simon has looked after my cars for a good few years now, he's seen me trough ownership of two evos, a 5 and a 6.

Both majority track cars so get plenty of abuse. Never had an issue with either cars, thanks to Simons mapping skills and technical/mechanical knowledge.

He has a no nonsense approach and won't go talking you into anything unnecessary.

    An all round top bloke.

Engine Cooling

AIRTEC MOTORSPORT AUXILLIARY RADIATOR FOR TOYOTA YARIS GR

Following an extensive development process, AIRTEC Motorsport are proud to launch our auxiliary radiator and turbo cooler kits aimed at modified Yaris GR owners who require the ultimate cooling package to maintain steady running temperatures on track or fast road use.

AIRTEC part no: ATRADYGR2

TECHNICAL DATA

Following an extensive development process, AIRTEC Motorsport are proud to launch our auxiliary radiator and turbo cooler kits aimed at modified Yaris GR owners who require the ultimate cooling package to maintain steady running temperatures on track or fast road use.

The challenge
When modifying the Yaris GR to increase power and torque at more extreme levels, an unavoidable byproduct is the additional heat level that’s transferred to the car’s cooling system. During hard use this can become a substantial issue, as we found on our own 400bhp+ Yaris GR demo car whilst testing on track. After sustained periods of hard use (similar to a round of racing), coolant temperatures would eventually reach 102 degrees, which was enough to trigger the aftermarket ECU’s safety features, putting the car into limp mode. Similarly, oil temperatures reached 123 degrees. We needed to address the car’s entire cooling system if we were going continue to modify and track our Yaris.

The solution
Developed in-house at AIRTEC HQ in the UK we designed a series of new products to address the cooling issues when pushed to the limit. This additional radiator fits neatly behind the fog light (requires removal) and utilises laser-cut aluminium ducting to force cold air through the radiator. To create a flow path and further improve cooling, air then exits via the inner arch liner (requires cutting). A pre-cut mesh shield is supplied for both the front and rear to protect the radiator from road debris damage.

The radiator is plumbed directly into the existing oil/water heat exchanger system to improve the car’s overall capacity and cooling ability, allowing it to maintain a steady temperature for longer during hard use.

This can fit with any of our intercooler or oil cooler combinations to create the ultimate cooling package. The comprehensive kit also features laser-cut and powder-coated brackets, high-quality Pro Hoses silicone lines as well as all fixtures and fittings, and detailed fitting instructions.

The testing
We went back to the track fitted with both our turbo and auxiliary radiators, as well as our larger Stage 3 oil cooler fitted, and were able to see a 10 degree peak drop from the coolant temperature, reducing to a much safer constant 92 degrees whilst oil temperature reached a maximum of 94 degrees thanks to a mix of the larger oil cooler allowing more surface area to cool the oil and the turbo cooler being able to reject more heat for the car’s original oil/water heat exchanger.

Key features:

  • Designed and developed in the UK specifically for the Yaris GR
  • Improves car’s cooling capacity and ability
  • Ducting channels air in and allows it to exit via arch liner
  • Tested on track and proven to work
  • Bespoke laser-cut and powder coated brackets
  • High-quality Pro Hoses silicone lines
  • Fits with all intercooler and oil cooler kits to create the ultimate cooling package
  • Comprehensive kit with all fixtures, fittings and instructions
