    Evo-X SST FQ-330: Recently had a 3 port boost solenoid install and remap by Simon and what a result! In addition to the power delivery improvement, one of the most impressive aspects is how Simon is meticulous in conducting a full health check bofore carrying out any performance modification work! Highly Recommended and worth travelling the distance, Al, South Wales.

    Took my evo x to Simons with a boost problem he sorted the problem in the first minute then he gave it a remap and gearbox up grade and re teachthis car has never been as good it now drives perfect thanks again

    Hi Simon I'm part of the evo x lot and always see your the man for evos and alway recommend you, could you give a rough price to set my Coilovers up ready for track days, do you do all the weighting corners ect kind regards stu. Ps they have been fitted and tracking done just not sure whether to go lower lol

    I brought my evo x to Simon as it was over fueling and had many flat spots.

    Once Simon maped the car I can finely drive the car properly after a year of troubles.

    Hi,
    My car is March 2010 Civic type R GT and so very interested in the ECUTek ECU.
    This will sound daft but, I have car that runs perfect, no codes or faults etc. and I'm concerned that installing another ECU may overtime import issues?
    Would like to chat about it and benefits of having this mod/ECU, installing it etc.

    Had my Evo 7 in with Simon for a Link ECU and mapping. The car is a fully built 2.4 stroker with all the work done in 2006, with very little use since then (8000 miles in total) so it was in need of a full health check and the old AEM ECU updating. Simon quickly identified some issues but sent lots of photo's and kept me updated all the time, picked the car up with the work done and a full fast road geo set up and its awesome! Really friendly and courteous service from start to finish, can highly recommend NTS for any work on Evo's. Cheers Simon, Andy.

    Brilliant service very very helpful they kept me informed every step of the process during the engine build and gave me the advice on oil changes and other service to keep it healthy

    I have just got my car back from Norton Tuning Solutions. Simon is a genius! What he has done with my car, is incredible. I have spent a fortune on having work done on my car, and several maps, by 'big name' specialists. And they had ruined my car. It is not only smooth to drive normally now, it f***ing flies when you put your foot down. I will never take my car anywhere else again! And the pops and bangs are perfect. I asked him to do them a particular way, and they are spot on. I cannot recommend Norton Tuning Solutions highly enough!

    so.... after looking at prices to tune my 2008 slightly modded civic type R via ecutek simon popped up and blew the competitions proces out the water with his quote....

    cars had x4 switchable maps... all features unlocked... and its one amazing job.

    even the aftercare was 2nd to none when i had to learn to drive the car again due to bad habbits (resting foot on clutch) and map telling me to get a grip.

    simon is on top lad.... done an outstanding job on my civic mapping wise hes totally transformed my car from what it was... discussed me through every question i had "in simple terms"

    AND I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE with a shadow of a doubt.

    Had my Subaru Impreza wrx mapped by simon where do I start wow what an amazing job he has done my car was 220bhp after a few hours of simon spend time playing with my ecu I am now running 357bhp with pop and bang the car drives absolutely mint now smooth throughout every gear and pulls like
    crazy very friendly knows his stuff top guy will recommend to everyone thanks buddy ?

    Very very in the know guy is Si, he has fitted numerous performance upgades to my Evo 8 along with a full re-map and without a showdow of doubt has well and truely changed my Evo into what i would
    call something special.

    Will be getting more parts bought and fitted by him very soon.

    Just a quick thanks to Simon and a big thumbs up to his work.

    Simon has looked after my cars for a good few years now, he's seen me trough ownership of two evos, a 5 and a 6.

    Both majority track cars so get plenty of abuse. Never had an issue with either cars, thanks to Simons mapping skills and technical/mechanical knowledge.

    He has a no nonsense approach and won't go talking you into anything unnecessary.

    An all round top bloke.

Important – bench unlock required

Please be aware this product will require a bench unlock via the BFlash Tool before a tune file can be programmed in. If you would like to purchase a BFlash Tool or find out which of our tuners can perform a bench unlock for you, please contact sales.

Important – ECUs manufactured after June 2020 cannot be unlocked

Security on ECUs manufactured after June 2020 has been changed and bench unlocking is not possible for them. There are no tuning products in existence that can support these new ECUs.

We are working hard to find a solution to this and nothing is being ruled out as a potential fix.

RaceROM Custom Features

  • Four-way Mode Switching
    1. Swap between four different modes using ECU Connect on your mobile device. For example, Track Mode; Fast Road Mode, E85 Mode; Economy Mode. It’s up to you to decide what set-up you want in each mode.
    2. Using the RaceROM Boost controller, you can adjust your maximum boost pressure and/or maximum torque in each mode using the cruise control or ECU Connect.​​
  • One-Touch AntiLag/Rolling Launch
    1. Rolling Launch allows you to roll race at the touch of the button. To set, enter the map switch mode in which Rolling Launch is activated. Press and hold the cruise control set button to build boost, adjust your speed with the accel pedal to match your opponent aaand…release the set button and enjoy! The system can be set up using activation time limits, temperature limits and a minimum re-arm time to maintain reliability.
  • RaceROM Burble
    1. Switch between a range of soft to hard burble on the fly, or even disable completely in Sport for full stealth mode.
  • Self Adjusting FlexFuel
    1. No more worries about calculating the ethanol in the tank; our RaceROM self-adjusting flex-fuel does it all for you. Just fit a CANbus enabled Flex Fuel sensor, and off you go. Whatever Ethanol content in the tank, the tune will automatically adjust to give you optimal performance. In addition, there are fail-safes to prevent engine damage if your sensor fails. Link up with ECU Connect or use the Sports Display to display the current Ethanol blend. A quick check can be carried out when stationary just by pressing the cruise control button to sweep the tacho needle to display ethanol percentage up to 70%
  • Up to 8 CanBus Inputs
    1. Add a range of external sensor inputs. For example:
      1. Zeitronix ECA-2 ethanol sensor
      2. Zeitronix ZT-3 wideband sensor
      3. Innovate LC-3 multi-sensor
      4. ECUmaster CANswitch
      5. Autosport AnalogX
      6. Custom user-defined CAN sensor
    2. CAN devices such as the AnalogX allow for multiple variable inputs that can be used to import 0-5v sensors, driver trim switches or even a combination including a 0-5v ethanol content signal.
    3. Fail safe’s can be set up to activate in the event of an input device failure
  • Up to 8 CanBus outputs
    1. Add external drivers or controllers for boost solenoids, water injection, nitrous control, and even secondary port injection. 
  • RaceROM Sequential Port Injection controller
    1. Using the Motiv Motorsport Reflex Box, you can bolt on a control aftermarket port injectors, releasing the power from those bigger turbos and fuel pumps to deliver the maximum performance from your modifications.
  • Sports Display HiJack
    1. Display and adjust your max torque using the sports display or use it as an additional dashboard display to show ECU parameters.
  • Valet Mode
    1. Put the car into a low power mode with limited speed and range, either as a security measure or to allow the car to be limited when handed over to a third party. This still leaves all four Map Switch modes available for your choice of setups.

 

  • ECU Connect – Use your Phone to control your tune

    Our free ECU Connect App can be used to create dashboards, read and clear DTCs and control some of our custom RaceROM features in conjunction with our ECU Connect Interface. Find out more about ECU Connect here

    Mode Switching

  • Switch between four different modes as detailed above on the fly using your phone.
  • Boost Control
    1. Adjust the above parameters live in each mode via the RaceROM boost and torque controller, using sliders on your phone.
  • Custom Features set up by your tuner
    1. You have up to five features that can be controlled using your mobile device. Configurable as a slider, numerical value or on/off switch, these inputs can be set up to interact with the ECU directly from the driver’s mobile device. Speak to your tuner to discuss what you would like.
  • Typical features you could set up are:
    1. Make your Traction Control more or less aggressive
    2. Activate your Nitrous
    3. Set up a Push To Pass button
    4. Set up a pit lane speed limiter
    5. Adjust your pedal map
  • Typical results From an EcuTek Tune

    Our in-house stage one tuning for our 435i with it’s N55 engine has produced an impressive increase across the RPM range. Peak power is up from 306bhp to 386bhp; peak torque is up from 300 lbs.ft to 400 lbs.ft (400Nm to 540Nm) running a modest 16 psi (1.1 bar) of boost.

    The stage one tune was nearly 3 seconds faster in 5th gear from 30mph to 80mph – 11.2 vs 8.3 seconds, and 0-60mph is 0.9 seconds quicker than stock – 5.5 vs 4.6 seconds.
